Football in France and atmosphere before World Cup
Football is the most popular sport in France. Football schools, training, and tournaments are generally available throughout the country, and in every big city, there are several stadiums as well as teams.

Le Fédération Française de Football is the national governing body and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the association of football in the country, both professional and amateur.
The first football club in France was founded in 1863, as described in The Scotsman newspaper:
“Many English gentlemen living in Paris recently organized a football club. Football competitions take place in Bois de Boulogne, with the permission of the authorities and surprises the French.”
Contemporary football was introduced nine years later in 1872 by English sailors playing at Le Havre (2 hours away from Paris) in 1872.

The French first league Ligue 1 is one of the best European leagues, currently in fifth place in Europe after the English Premier League, the Spanish La Liga, the Italian Serie A and the German Bundesliga.
This year the French champion, for the 7th time, was the Paris Saint-Germain team, who won the title after winning the 7: 1 match of AS Monaco. However, the biggest competition has always existed between the teams from Marseille and Paris and led to the reluctance of the inhabitants of the south with the capital.
2 years ago, in 2016, I had the opportunity to see the Polish match during Euro 2016 on the Champs de Mars, under the Eiffel Tower. A fan zone with two telecoms was set up there, where matches were shown. The atmosphere was great!

And what will happen during the 2018 World Cup?
According to CBS Sports, the chances of the French national team are quite big:
“Nothing can compare to the team’s magic of 1998, but this French team is there with the best in the world and is ruthlessly fired in. Thanks to Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and others, goal scoring should not be a problem. If the defense can find coherence and a pair that can show unity, beware. “

The French are obviously betting on winning, in the end, it’s their national sport! Their place in the FIFA ranking and the current strong team can meet their expectations and give them quite a chance of winning.
I am looking forward to the match of France 🙂
